Kalkan is a delightful, small resort climbing up into the mountains from its pretty waterfront harbour and town beach. This charming resort is almost totally devoted to Tourism these days but upmarket rather than mass market. The old buildings house attractive shops while many a rooftop is given over to dining with cool breezes and sea views.
Cool forest mountains form a backdrop to Kalkan and a trip into the villages for a freshly caught trout lunch or a ride through the high plateau village of the Bezigan valley give another dimension to Kalkan’s busy little restaurants and bars.
If your family want a villa holiday avoiding the mass market sprawl that has overtaken other resorts on the Aegean coast, then opt instead for the Kalkan on the Turquoise Coast, along the Mediterranean east of Dalaman. I am sure that you will be delighted with your visit and may even fall in love and purchase your dream holiday home as we did.

Jasmine villa is directly located over the bay and benefits from stunning views over the Mediterranean.
Just 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and to the town center gives immediate access to a wealth of entertainment and leisure with many shops, bars and restaurants.
Each of the two bedrooms are simply decorated and furnished with wardrobes, side and dressing tables and traditional Turkish kilims. The wooden headboards on the beds complete the look of these comfortable, air-conditioned rooms. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a large balcony with a Turkish seating area, the perfect place to sit and admire the views of the pool below and the surrounding mountains. A large bathroom with a whirlpool bath offers easy access from both bedrooms. The roof terrace offers a private place to BBQ and dine, with amazing views of the sea and mountains.
Villa Jasmine has a large fitted, open plan kitchen-dining room with attractive ceramic worktops, and every modern convenience including washing machine, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, gas hob/oven and microwave. The villa is equipped with linens, crockery, cutlery and glasses and many baby items.
The lounge, which is well equipped with TV, DVD player, CD player, high speed internet access, books, CD’s, DVD’s and toys, leads out through sliding doors, onto a spacious terrace overlooking the large pool with outdoor furniture - a perfect place to relax and sip an evening aperitif.
Downstairs there is a very spacious fully tiled, shower room with marble surfaced cabinets.
The large private pool (7m x 5m), is surrounded by an attractive spacious terrace with sun beds, umbrellas and al fresco dining furniture and a beautiful garden featuring flowering plants and fruit trees. Villa Jasmine has many aromatic plants bordering the garden, their scent adding to the special ambience of the pool and garden area.
