Further Information The island is easily accessible by car (30 minute ferry crossing from Malta) or by a direct helicopter flight from Gudja Airport in Malta. Food, such as fresh bread, vegetables and fish are delivered by street vendors up to your door. There are plenty of restaurants and one, with breathtaking views of the Island of Comino and Malta, is only a two minute walk away. From Gozo, one can take a day trip to Comino Island with its spectacular Blue Lagoon. During summer there is a festa season every week-end in all the villages and towns dotted around the Island. Ramla bay is Gozo's biggest sandy beach which is delightfully clean with open air restaurants next to the beach making this idyllic spot fun day and night. Gozo is full of history and places of historical interest from Neolithical temples, Roman remains, Knights of St. John are abundant.
