The last bridge is situated on the border of western loire & the charente maritime, in an area known as the vendee. close to the historic town of la Rochelle. the vendee is made up of hundreds of miles of waterways, which can be navigated in one of the many boats for hire in the area along the rivers and canales at very reasonable rates,The whole area of the vendee is steeped in history and is locally known as the green venice.you will need more than a couple of weeks to explore this warm and tranquil place.
