An ideal area for coast walks, beaches, fossil hunting and sea sports. Country lanes and footpaths make it ideal for walking not only in the country but also along the coastal path to Golden Cap and many National Trust areas on the Coastal Path. Cycling and fishing and popular as is golf at Lyme Regis or West Bay. Visit Abottsbury Village, Swannery, Gardens childrens animal barn abd chapple. Go to Bridport and West Bay and along the Chesil Bank. Motor into Devon and visit Seaton for the Tramway to Colyton or Beer for a fishing Village and visit Pecorama gardens and model railway. Wind your way to Branscombe and the Donkey Sanctuary and then to Sidmouth. Lots of unique, quiet villages to visit with many quaint village pubs and inns for that exclusive meal. The local pubs of The Shaves Cross, The Five Bells and the Bottle are all within 2.5 miles. |
