Inside the house
The living area is on two floors. All rooms have the terracotta floors and wooden beamed ceilings.
On the first floor is the big dining room in the trattoria style with an old marble table seating 12 and a large traditional stone fire place, the kitchen, two bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom.
On the upper floor there are two bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom and a large, comfortable sitting room (45 m²) with sofas, a big table seating 12, an open fire place, tv, dvd, hifi.
Outside the house
Along the front of the house is a paved area with a big table and chairs that is shaded by a pergola covered with wisteria and virginia creeper.
On the south side there is a large sun terrace partially shaded by an almond tree, a pleasant place to take your lunch or to have a barbecue in the evenings.
Below the sun terrace are two garden terraces, and below that a swimming pool ( 9 x 4.5 m), surrounded by a 60 m² sun deck with sun beds, umbrellas and an extra shower.
Next to the pool is a large grass area fit for ball games.
At the back of the house is a separate entrance and garden for the caretaker's flat that was built from the old stables and storage rooms on the ground floor.
Next to the north side of the house is a pergola for covered parking and a big piazza.
The city of Cortona has recently become well known through the film and book “Under the Tuscan sun” and offers many cultural activities, like music, theatre and cinema festivals and other events throughout the summer months.
Close to the house as well as in the entire vicinity there are numerous possibilites for hiking and mountain biking. Nearby Monte Ginezzo for example invites to be climbed for a perfect view and possibly even for a longer walk down to Lake Trasimeno.
Two small villages with shopping possibilities and a typical italian bar, a tennis court and the nearest restaurants all are at a distance of approx. 4 km
