Our cottage overlooks the Canal du Rhone- Sete with its boats and harbour which are right on your doorstep. Two large supermarkets are just a 8 mins drive away. Both Montpellier and Nimes airport are about 20 mins by car.
Aigues Mortes itself has a privileged position at the confluence of three canals and is just 8 min by road to sandy, Mediterranean beaches. Within its awesomeg fortress wall. you will find a multitude of stores from art and craft, banks and specialist shops to boulangeries and about 40 restaurants serving local specialities and very fresh fish. Colourful markets on Wednesady and Sunday augment all your needs. Located in the Petite Carmague and adjacent to the Carmargue National Park which can be toured by paddle steamer, by road or on a horse. .
Recommended tours include Pont du Gard, Nimes, Arles, St Marie de la Mer and the wonderfully vibrant University town of Montpellier with its exquisite shopping and boulevards.
