Casa Rosa is situated away from the crowded coast and the tourist developments and offers a different flavour of the genuine Portugal amidst the scent of pine and eucalyptus trees. The property is set away from the road which ascends to Foia, the highest point in the Algarve and is a five minute drive to Monchique, a bustling market town with a good range of shops which cater for daily needs.
The views from the villa are spectacular over the rolling foothills of the Serra de Monchique to the coast from East of Albufeira to beyond Lagos in the West. There are many good and inexpensive restaurants within a short distance of Casa Rosa, especially the renowned Restaurant Rampa well known for its excellent piri piri chicken.
There are many attractive walks through the cork oak, olive and eucalyptus woods in the area of Casa Rosa.
The quiet unspoilt beaches on the west coast are about 45 mins easy drive. Monte Clergio has a long sandy beach backed by dramatically steep cliffs and there are two restaurants making it a pleasant day out. There are of course the nearer beaches of Praia de Rocha, Praia de Vau. The stunning Meia Praia is near Lagos and again there are many restaurants dotted along this six mile length of sand!
Accommodation
First Floor with master bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom including separate shower and bidet. French doors to balcony which faces south taking full advantage of the superb views.
2nd & 3rd bedrooms have twin beds and French doors to the long balcony.

Ground Floor 4th bedroom with double bed and hidden wash basin, sliding doors to patio leading to pool.

Large living room with marble floors, French doors to terraces. At the end of this room is an oval marble table with four chairs and bookcases making it a pleasant reading area. This room has a large open fireplace.
Dining Area leads straight off the living room with French doors to terraces. There is a servery to the adjoining Kitchen (new in 2005) with granite work surfaces and includes oven with grill, microwave, fridge with smaller freezer section, coffee machine, food processor, dishwasher, toaster, citric juicer etc. There is a small larder adjacent.
Utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
There is a maid two days a week and the linen is changed once a week. Bathroom towels are provided.
Separate Beach/Pool towels are also provided.
Ana looks after the house and any problems that may arise. Paulo looks after the pool. Satellite TV, CD:Radio:Cassette.
