It has been tastefully equipped with antique furniture and decorated traditionally. The chalet lies at the top of the Chamonix Valley in the village of Le Tour, right at the foot of the Domaine du Balme ski area. It is literally metres from the slopes.

On the world heritage scale, Chamonix is classed as the third most visited natural site on the planet. Mountaineering was born here with the first ascent of Mont-Blanc in August 1786 and skiing began here over a hundred years ago. Chamonix hosted the first ever Winter Olympic Games in 1924.
It is a unique area to visit; the high peaks covered with the eternal snow epitomised by the summit, Mont Blanc, provide an impressive backdrop for any activity. Chamonix is a very cosmopolitan town attracting visitors from all over the world to participate in the wide range of activities available. There is a vast choice of restaurants, bars and clubs allowing you to experience the thrills of your life followed by crazy nights.
Even in summer, Chamonix provides the perfect destination for everyone: families with children of all ages, the daring seeking the ultimate adrenalin buzz or for those just aiming to get away from it all. The chalet is located in the village of Le Tour, at the top of the Chamonix Valley, giving wonderful open views back to Mont Blanc. A more tranquil setting than the hustle and bustle of Chamonix itself, the chalet provides the perfect getaway with the rare advantage of having ski-in, ski-out possibilities for the winter. The bars, shops and restaurants of Argentiere are just a 3 minute drive away.

Prices are based on self-catered accommodation

Bookings are taken from Saturday to Saturday although there may be some flexibility in the low season.
To secure the booking, a 25% deposit is taken (credit cards are accepted) with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival.

Skiing and snowboarding
The Chamonix Valley is one of the world's most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour's drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. For the more experienced, Chamonix has miles and miles of adventurous off-piste, including the famous Vallee Blanche, an 18km experience from the Aiguille du Midi down to the town.
Summer and the rest of the year
With the draw of Europe's premier natural attraction, Mont Blanc, the Chamonix Valley never sleeps. Whether it's simply to soak up the stunning scenery or get the adrenaline pumping, there is plenty for everybody to do all year round. There are a wide variety of marked trails for hiking and trekking; well-maintained bolted routes for rock-climbing; limitless mountaineering opportunities including Mont Blanc itself; an ever-expanding network of mountain bike trails; some of the most consistent thermals for superb paragliding; raging white water rapids for rafting and hydro speeding; canyoning and abseiling down the spectacular valley gorges; golf at the Trent Jones Sr designed 18 hole course in Chamonix, as well as many other top quality courses nearby; the sports centre has an indoor and outdoor 50m swimming pool and a large grassed sunbathing area, water slides, numerous tennis courts, gym, spa, Jacuzzis, the list goes on! |
