Our Toni apartment is a new two bedroom quality apartment with lifts in the new village of Playa Honda. It overlooks the Mar Menor - an almost landlocked sea, which makes it a natural giant swimming pool, with clear shallow waters ideal for young children, its just a 6 minute walk to the beach.

Our Toni apartment is a new two bedroom quality apartment with lifts in the new village of Playa Honda. It overlooks the Mar Menor - an almost landlocked sea,which makes it a natural giant swimming pool, with clear shallow waters ideal for young children, its just a 5 minute walk to the beach.
The apartment sleeps 4/6. There is a spacious lounge with satelliteTV and DVD and a dining area. A large balcony leads off the lounge with sea and mountain views. A separate kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, extractor fan ,microwave,fridge freezer,washing machine,toaster and kettle. With a double and a twin bedroom and also a double bed settee in the lounge to accomodate the larger family. Two large ceiling fans to keep the apartment cool.There is a pool with showers and sun bathing area with sunloungers and parasols. There is heating in the lounge for cooler out of season evenings.
Playa Honda is a small peaceful community next to the sea. It has a supermarket which sells fresh bread, milk and all the essentials for your holiday. There is also a well stocked pharmacy. There are a couple of Spanish bars which also serve a three course lunch and evening meal at reasonable prices, all within a few minutes walk.There is also tennis,basket ball court, crazy golf and childrens play areas. You can join a walking club at the well organised camping site about 10 minutes walk away.Within a couple of kilometers, there are: Water Sports, Go Karting, Horse riding, Cycle hire, Boat Chartering and the world famous "La Manga Golf and leisure resort".
There are 2 Regional Parks close by.One is just a couple of kilometers away with a walking route from Playa Honda, copies at the apartment or I can e mail you one.
Cabo de Palos, a picturesque harbour village is just 3 kilometers away, with excellent restaurants and a very large Sunday market. There is also a lighthouse and a marine nature reserve.

Playa Honda is a small peaceful community next to the sea. It has a small supermarket which sells fresh bread, milk and all the essentials for your holiday. There is also a well stocked pharmacy. There

There is a Regional Park just a couple of kilometers away with a walking route from Playa Honda, copies in the apartment or I can e mail you one. The landscape is very different, quite rugged, with small sandy coves, between rocky headlands. There is another Regional Park on the far side of the Mar Menor, where the flamingos congregate in their thousands.....an amazing sight!!
You can get the local bus and travel all along the La Manga Strip, all 18 kilometers, for less than 1 euro! There is a small golf course near the end where you can practice your swing. You can visit Cabo de Palos, a picturesque harbour village, just 3 kilometers away, with excellent restaurants and a very large Sunday market. There is also a lighthouse and a marine nature reserve. And of course there are many miles of sandy beaches all along both sides of the Strip.
Cartagena, a historic city port, is just a short drive away or again you can catch the local bus. Cartagena is well worth a visit... there are many attractions, from Roman ruins to the latest stores for those who prefer to shop!
