The house is located in the Pas de Calais region (7 Valleys) with plenty of things to see and do. The nearest town is Hesdin which is a 10 minute drive by car. You will find plenty of good restaurants and a huge variety of shops. Just outside Hesdin you will find the forestry area where you will be able to take a picnic and enjoy the fresh French country air. The tourist office is located in Hesdin square where you can pickup an information pack which will give you details of all local events plus Pas de Calais attractions. If you like quad biking there is a track just 15 minutes from the house.
The region has plenty of history and the famous Azincourt is just a 20 minute drive away. There is also a Water Park and attraction Park just 45 minute away along the coastline.
Nord-Pas-de-Calais is the northern most of the 22 French regions. It lies directly south of England, and is bounded by the North Sea. The many and varied landscapes of the Pas-de-Calais are so authentique. From the Audomarois marshlands to the peace and quiet of the Ternois and 7 Vallées dales. From meadows to marshes an atmosphere of complete relaxation and contentment with time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life.
Parks and gardens open to the public and local craftsmen who are pleased to show curious visitors their talents. Quaint villages in full bloom, chapels, wayside crosses, a twisted belfry, half-timbered farms and the age old forest where only the trees are able to tell its history. The “7 Vallées” and the “Ternois” share a very passionate and preserved heritage so rich in local traditions.
The bourgeois towns of Béthune and Arras, steeped in Flemish and a little Spanish influences, mark out the limits of a vast territory which covers the Artois plains, the coal mining country.

A non-refundable booking deposit of £100.00 or 50% of the rental (which ever is lower) is required on all confirmed bookings. Payments in full 8 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings less than 8 weeks before arrival full payment will be required. Weekend bookings available. Arrival time at property on start date will be 14.00 hrs (earlier may be possible) check before leaving. Departure time on last day 10.30 am (could be extended) please check.

The house is only 1 hour away from Calais port and 1 10mins via the Shuttle.
The house has 1 large double bedroom with wood floor, upstairs via spiral staircase 1 very pretty room with french style furniture and wooden floor which leads onto the gallery overlooking the dinning room area, very warm and cosy room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Large living Room area with large wood burner, has Sky T.V., CD, Tape and radio player, some Dvds and CD's supplied. Large dining room is furnished with french furniture and the table extends to seat more than 10 people. Very spacious kitchen area with plenty of storage space, view to the garden. Lobby area to the back of the house with wicker table and chairs which leads into the large secluded garden area . Small nicely decorated bathroom with very powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Travel cot for baby up to 2 years (available from June 06) also children's toys books, and a selection of Novels and games supplied. Possibility of extra put-up beds available. |
