Situated midway between Alicante and Valencia (1 hour in each direction). Near the well known towns of Denia and Javea, MontePego is a delightful urbanisation situated on the mountainside with spectacular views of orange groves, mountains and the sea.
The glorious beach is an easy 10 minute drive away, reached through the orange groves and surrounding marshland. It is famous for windsurfing and kite boarding, stretching for as far as the eye can see, it is relatively unspoilt and well kept.
The local town of Pego is a 5 - 10 minute drive away. This is a very Spanish market town of narrow streets, lovely old buildings and bags of character. The old church in the centre is well worth visiting.
There are superb golf courses at Oliva Nueva (near the beach) and La Sella (20 Min's). Both have excellent facilities, including tennis courts. Horse riding is also available at La Sella and several other stables in the area.
The area is well known for hill walking with many trails and organised excursions.
You can catch the high speed ferry from Denia to Ibiza. In Denia there are hundreds of restaurants and interesting shops. There are bars and restaurants also in nearby Els Poblets and, of course, in MontePego itself. The urbanisation also has its own tennis courts.
More than likely though, you'll be tempted to relax by the pool at Villa Miranda!
