Spain > Andalucia (Costa del Sol) > Costa del Sol > Mijas > Alhaurin El Grande
Los Limoneros Bed and Breakfast is set in the countryside between the towns of Alhaurin el Grande, Cartama and Cóin. The accommodation, gardens and pool have panoramic 360 degree views to the mountains of Sierra las Nieves, Sierra de Banos and Sierra de Agua. The later two form the southern boundary of the El Chorro Lakes, which is a worthwhile visit during your stay. The white villages of Alorzina, Caserabanela and Alora can also be seen from the gardens.
Bars and Restaurants ("Ventas") in the area:-
Within 2kms of Los Limoneros is Venta Los Cabales and another kilometre brings you to Venta Los Arcos. In the direction of the village of Alhaurin el Grande, 4kms takes you to Venta El Portón de Piedra and a further 1km takes you to the town itself. Cartama is 4.5kms distance from the villa.
Places to visit:-
There are many typical white villages to see, ranging from the sleepy village of Tolox to the bustling village of Mijas with its donkeys, souvenir shops and fantastic views across to the coast and Africa (on a clear day).
Some cities and towns within driving distance that are well worth a visit:-
The ancient town of Ronda (1 hour) is built across a gorge and gives some wonderful "photo" opportunities.
Granada (1 hour 45 minutes) is a beautiful city with the Alhambra Palace and the nearby ski resort of Sierra Nevada.
Malaga (30 minutes) with wonderful parks, gardens, the new Picasso Museum and fascinating food market.
Sevilla (3 hours) with its beautiful architecture, gardens, shops and restaurants.
Visit Gibraltar (1 hour 30 minutes) to see the Apes on the rock and to experience "a little bit of England" with the English Policemen, letter boxes and shops. |

This traditional Andalucian Villa is set in the countryside between the towns of Alhaurin el Grande, Cartama and Cóin and sits in 4 acres of garden. You approach the villa through the electric gates into a large gravelled parking area that is bordered by Bougainvillea, Palm & Olive trees and other colourful exotic trees and shrubs. Your room looks out onto the large specialist Cacti and Succulent garden.
Los Limoneros is double glazed, has beamed ceilings and tiled floors. The luxury en-suite shower room is tiled throughout and has a large walk-in shower, wash basin with vanity unit and toilet.
