The holiday house is situated on a very private exclusive estate "Bahia de Marbella" less than 5 mins drive (or an easy walk along the beach) east from Marbella "the Jewel in the Crown of the Costa del Sol". It is half an hour's drive from Marbella airport.
We fell in love with the area because it has something for everyone. See the activities/sports page but most sports are played and are readily accessible locally. There is a British population on this coast but it blends in well here. You can speak English but any attempt at Spanish is always appreciated.
Many communities in the near vicinity have their own cultural life with eg. English speaking amateur dramatic performances, classical and pop concerts. The local festivals are many and always colourful.
The wide range of available trips is extraordinary (again see activities page) but there is a fairly complete collection in a file in the house. You can visit the new Piccasso museum in Malaga one day, watch Dolphins or Championship football vs Madrid the next, play golf, scuba dive or even ski (on snow or the sea) and be back in time to pick up your partner from a day's retail therapy at La Canada mall or town centre.
Puerto Banus is the jet set haven but you can eat out elsewhere as modestly as anywhere in Spain. Every type of food is available, many of the beach restaurants are excellent and make year round relaxed dining a special experience.
