Originally a fishing village, Corralejo has expanded dramatically over the last few years now making it the main resort on the island. The town centre lies at the northern tip of a large bay, this bay sweeps south before it meets the vast expanse of sand dunes on the outskirts of town. There is a variety of holiday accommodation to suit most tastes. Corralejo offers a good selection of resort amenities including a wide selection of restaurants, lots of bars, and a growing selection of shops concentrated along the main Avenida. Wherever you stay a sandy beach is generally within walking distance.
