A visit to the historic city of Granada and the beautiful Alhambra Palace is highly recommended. Going to a flamenco show in a cave in the Albaycin is also an unforgettable experience. For something calmer and more relaxing, we recommend a trip to the mountain villages of the Alpujarras. There is great walking there as well as shops selling many hand made things. The food is also good. It is hearty country food but it is very good. There are many coastal towns, such as Almunecar, La Herradura with its marina and Nerja, that are quaint and well worth exploring.
For those who want some pampering, we can arrange for a massage therapist to come to the villa and there is a day spa 10 minutes away.
