GPS West 4,22159 North 36.86957.The resident owners will shop for you if you want – although everything you need can be found at the local village of Los Romanes (4 km) or nearby; pleasant, unpretentious tapas bars, restaurants and village shops. The picturesque whitewashed villages of Comares and Alcaucin are within a 20 minutes drive If you want a change of pace, the bright lights of the Costa, with water sports, seagoing trips, discos and night clubs are only thirty minutes away or, even closer, you can find fishing and golf.
Distances
Nearest Town: Velez Malaga. Approx 20 minute drive. Steeped in history, wonderful old quarter. Market: Thursdays. Paintball jungle. Between Velez and Torre del Mar there is a large indoor shopping centre/hypermarket/bowling alley and cinema (always has a film in English) . Close by is the water park. We are 15 mins drive from Karma Guen (Buddist Stupa)
Cultural/Historical: Granada and its stunning Alhambra Palace, Ronda with its magnificent gorge, or El Torcal with its Jurassic rock formations and historic Antequera are all easily accessible. Local fiestas and country life give an opportunity to see the Real Spain
Coast/Beach: The Mediterranean Coast is approx a 30-minute drive where you will find Torre del Mar with a long sandy beach. The promenade has numerous beach bars, restaurants a good selection of entertainment and nightlife. A large market is held here on Thursdays. Go-cart track nearby. Seagoing trips from Caleta de Velez with champagne, wine ,tapas and hopefully a swim with dolphins. Snorkeling at Cantarrijan naturist beach. Nerja. Approx. 40 minutes drive. Busy resort, fantastic caves nearby.
Special Interest: Walking, mountain biking, and bird watching here or in the National Park nearby. Fishing in Lake Vinuela. Horse riding. Artists and photographers paradise.

Notes on prices. Children of less than 5 years of age, are charged at half the listed price .There is a double futon and a foldown bed available for children at half the listed price per child. One baby requiring a cot, free of charge. Casa Algarrobo can be let together with Casita Gorrion, exclusive use of the pool and gardens at a special price.( Sleeps 10 adults 3 children and a baby.) There is a Minimum charge for Casa Algarrobo for under occupancy. Prices are per person in U.K pounds A provisional booking can be made by email or telephone (i.e. to enable flights to be booked)A non-refundable deposit of £400 p.w. for Casa Algarrobo is requested to confirm your booking within 2 weeks of a provisional booking being made. Contact the owners for transfer details. Balance payable in euros on arrival. All breakages must be paid for. Please make sure that you have adequate holiday and health insurance.

Swimming Pool
A spacious terrace of handmade tiles surrounds the huge lagoon shaped swimming pool, 15m x 5m with underwater lighting and built in steps giving easy access to non-swimmers and children who are happy playing in the pool for hours. Salt water fed with a minimum of chlorine, checked and cleaned daily. Poolside loungers, tables, chairs and cushions are provided in both shaded and sunny areas, one of which has an amazing cave, floodlit at night. Our beautiful location affords awesome views of the mountains, unspoilt valleys and olive groves from the whole property,especially from the terraces and swimming pool area.
The House
Casa Algarrobo - ( Bedrooms,2 double & 1 twin ) (upstairs) with another double and futon in the annexe.
Bedroom 1 – Large double bed, bedside tables / lamps, rocking chair, wardrobe and cupboard. Attractive Andalusian tiled en suite shower room. (walk in shower, WC, handbasin)
Bedroom 2 – Large room with king sized double bed, bedside tables/lamps, comfortable armchair, wardrobe, and dressing table.
Bedroom 3 – Large Twin room. Bedside table/lamp, pine wardrobe, captain's chest, small chest, and chair.
Large stylishly tiled bathroom, with walk in shower, w.c. bidet, handbasin and pine washstand.
Outside roof terrace - chairs /cushions, coffee table and external lighting. (Overlooking pool and Mount Maroma).
Entrance hall (ground floor) Furnished in antique oak, with two armchairs. Door to annexe.
Living room- Comfortable sofa and armchairs, coffee tables, mood lighting, partially open to
Kitchen/Dining room – Fully Equipped with gas oven/hob, toaster, kettle, Fridge/Freezer, everything you need to make cooking and serving a pleasure. Large dining table (seats 8) chairs/ cushions , wine rack and ample cupboard space. Door to terrace.Annexe also has a kitchen/diner with fridge.
Private Outside Terrace with wonderful views of the pool and gardens – Dining table (seats 12) & chairs/cushions, built in barbecue , large parasol, external lighting,
Entertainment – CD/tape/tuner, books, games, local and regional guides /information etc).
Central heating and fans. Cool box and drying rack.
This Casa retains many of its original beams and charming features. Ample space to enjoy time together or relax alone.
We have mosquito netting at all of the windows. Bed linen and towels are replaced weekly and the houses are cleaned before each arrival. There is no daily maid service during your stay,but we will clean bathrooms and floors weekly. Pool towels are not provided but can be hired. Pool Room - W.C. Washing machine / Iron and ironing board. No wheelchair access. Pets not allowed. Local restaurant list, information folder and Welcome packs provided.
