Within ten minutes walk there is a local pub and the picturesque village of Berrynarbor is close by with a dog friendly pub. Ilfracombe and Combe Martin are within a few miles and bustling Barnstaple is just 20 minutes drive away. Watermouth Cove cottage is an ideal base from which to explore either, the dramatic scenery of North Devon and Exmoor or, the attractions of the seaside ranging from the rocks and rock pools of Watermouth Cove to the wide sandy expanses of Woolacombe Croyde and Saunton beaches. Things to do Within a mile of Watermouth people can enjoy long coastal and woodland walks, fishing – sea, fly and course, swimming and playing golf. Boats can be parked at Watermouth Harbour and use made of the slipway. Within just a few minutes drive there is horse riding, karting and diving. North Devon also has a large number of family attractions including Watermouth Castle and The Wildlife & Dinosaur Park at Combe Martin. There are numerous arts and craft shops, museums and railways. Exmoor is also a haven for wildlife where visitors may see the famed wild ponies, red deer and birds of prey.

We can offer out of season weekend breaks [Friday – Monday] and midweek breaks [Monday - Friday] from only £129. Low season runs from weeks commencing 04 January 2011 – 14 March 2011excluding school holidays, and then again from weeks commencing 31 October - 12 December 2010 Short breaks may also be arranged at other times of the year on a last minute basis. Special tariffs can also be arranged for long-term stays of three weeks or more. # Christmas and New Year weeks in 2008 commence and end Friday. One well-behaved pet is welcome at £25 per week or £15 per short break. More pets may be accommodated by arrangement. Except by prior arrangement dogs should not be left alone in the cottage to prevent any noise disturbance to other residents. Owners must clean up after their dogs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children. Pets are not allowed on the furniture. If more than the free allocation of car parking spaces is required, an additional space may be booked by arrangement at £15 per week or part thereof. Cots and highchairs are available free of charge – please order these at time of booking. ~ Fee for linen for bed settee is £20, waived during high season. Sandpiper is just 1 of our 8 cottages. They are all set in a courtyard complex & are located beside the tranquil grounds of Watermouth Castle, just 200 yards from the sea & SW coastal path, on the stunning North Devon coast. Self-catering facilities include dishwasher and microwave. All have night storage heaters included in the tariff and 6 cottages have a log-burning stoves for those cosy, romantic evenings. A four-poster bed is an additional feature in 6 out of 8 cottages 5 cottages have bbq and patio set outside front door, other 3 have use of bbq and patio set, situated in our back garden. There is a hot tub in a pretty half acre garden. Sandpiper has use of patio and barbecue in garden and sleeps from 2 to 6 people. Pets are welcome and Watermouth Cove offers direct access to the South West Coastal Path and the Tarka Trail. Non smoking We have many repeat guests, come & see for yourself..we look forward to having you stay.
