Stresa has some good restaurants, nice shops, and you will never get tired of the beautiful scenery. It's a lovely charming village with narrow streets, shops, restaurants, and beautiful boulevard for a leisurely stroll in the evening. Stresa is famous for the beautiful flowered promenade and gardens: in the 18th and 19th century aristocrats had imposing villas with magnificent gardens built as their summer residences on the lake shore promenades. The Lakeside is lined with trees and flower beds and offers fantastic views of the Borromean gulf and its islands. From the ferry port ( 100 mt from the house) there are frequent ferries which can take you to any of the 3 islands and up into Switzerland. Stresa is the pearl of Lake Maggiore. This international tourist resort situated in a central but also panoramic and picturesque position along the lakeside roadway, stands just in front of the Borromee isles. Since the second half of nineteenth century up to the first decades of the twentieth, when the first English touritsts arrived, Stresa, whose hotels and villas built in Liberty style make it unique, assumed its peculiar, elegant look. Nowadays it is a renowned holiday resorts as well as an important seat of cultural manifestations, meetings and international congresses.

The Lakeside is lined with trees and flower beds and offers fantastic views of the Borromean gulf and its islands. Stresa is famous for this beautiful flowered promenade and gardens: in the 18th and 19th century aristocrats had imposing villas with magnificent gardens built as their summer residences on the lake shore promenades. These charming properties consist in a new cottage and 2 beside apartments that all share a small courtyard/garden with palm trees and flowers. The apartments, both on first floor are situated in front of the cottage. They sleep 4 people each and face both the garden (with sleeping rooms) and the lake (with living rooms). From the large living room windows what a beautiful view on the Lake ! The properties are rented separately, but on request can accommodate a larger group of friends that like to spend a holiday in Stresa . Due to central location car is not necessary.
