The area of Apokoronou is one of the greenest parts of Crete with the backdrop of the White Mountains. There are many gorges and the south of the island is only 30kms away by car.
The villa situated in the beautiful Greek village of Gavalochori with its famous folklore museum, roman wells, womens cooperative (weaving and crocheting) three tavernas. kafenions, bakery and coffee/cake bar and is 6 kms from the beautiful gently shelving sandy beach of Almerida with its many traditional tavernas restuarants and bars to have a leisurely drink next to the beach. Also supermarkets and small shops. Windsurfing is available from a local company
Nearby is the Cretan market town of Vamos where you can sit, have a drink or coffee and enjoy the atmosphere in the square. A short drive over the hills is Vrysses with its river and weir and numerous cafes and tavernas and also Georgeopoli a small town with long sandy beaches restaurants cafes and bars.
Rethymno is 35 kms away as is Chania with their wonderful Venetian harbours, quaint side streets hundreds of years old but also modern shops with all the designer goods.

Tuesday is normally the changeover day in line with flights from the UK to Chania. If you wish to come another day please email us. Easyjet now flies to Chania from Gatwick from May to October
20% deposit is payable when booking and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to start of your holiday.
Flights available to Heraklion (Easy jet) which is a 120 minute drive approx, or charter flights to Chania 40 minute drive.
Directions to the Villa will be supplied before your arrival.
Rates for this villa have been reduced this year due to the economic situation in Europe and this does not detract from the quality of the Villa and its facilities.

The villa is set in ancient olive groves - easily reached by foot in 8 minutes is Gavalochori a lovely traditional Greek village which offers a mini markets, bakery, patisserie, tavernas and traditional kafenions.
The villa has a great view of the fabulous Cretan countryside.
There is a large covered car port to keep your car cool. The garden is fully fenced with a cretan stone wall and your own sliding electric gate at the front.
We provide a FREE luxury welcome pack including a bottle of organic cold pressed olive oil from the olive trees in the gardens, hand soap and tissues are also provided.
We live next door and we are available for extra help or ideas if required. We do not use the pool and give guests exclusive use. The pool is not overlooked by neighbouring houses.
The pool is 4.5 metres by 10 metres depth 1.2 to 1.7 with wide easy access Roman steps so it is ideal for all the family.
White linen is changed once a week and white towels twice a week. Cleaning prior to arrival and middle Tuesday Pool towels provided. End of rent cleaning included.
There is large jacuzzi available subject to conditions of use (Not suitable for some medical conditions)
Activities in local area inc;lude - Clay pigeon shooting at Askifoo, Horse riding near Georgioupoli and windsurfing at Almerida. |
