The Alegranza complex is located on the northern side of the stylish cosmopolitan resort of Playa Blanca with its varied attractions, restaurants and bars. Parking in the town centre is easy and free.
Several banks are situated around the town and the harbour. There is a chemist in the centre by the roundabout and several doctors. Playa Blanca has a newly developed marina where a host of water sports and other activities are available. This area is also establishing itself as an area for stylish eating out and designer clothing outlets.
A stunning coastal walk leads from the lighthouse at one end of Playa Blanca to the beaches at Papagayo at the other end with its golden sands and crystal clear water.
There is a market near the marina on the road to Papagayo every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Car and bicycle hire is also available in Playa Blanca.

Casa Contenta has been equipped with everything you might need for a relaxing holiday and has been furnished and fitted to a very high standard. The interior of the villa has a large lounge diner which is beautifully decorated and furnished. There are two comfortable settees, coffee tables and side lamps. A TV and DVD/CD player is provided along with a selection of DVDs, CDs, board games and books.
Double french windows lead onto the South facing terrace which is ideal for eating or sunbathing. A table, chairs and sunbeds are provided.
The large kitchen is modern and fully fitted with an electric hob, large fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, a combi microwave/oven and of course all crockery and glassware. A breakfast bar gives an opportunity for snacks or indoor eating if required.
The large double bedroom has a double bed, double fitted wardrobes and a security safe. The twin bedroom has twin beds and double fitted wardrobes. Both bedrooms are fitted with adjustable ceiling fans for your added comfort and have wooden window shutters to keep out the light when you want that late holiday lie-in.
The large family bathroom is fitted with a full length bath, shower, bidet, toilet and twin washbasins.
A travel cot and high chair are also provided for your convenience.
The Alegranza complex is built to a high standard and is very spacious and tranquil. The pools and surrounding areas are beautifully maintained and set in large open and sunny tiled areas where there are numerous sunbeds which are available free of charge for your use.
Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the island of Lanzarote It is an ideal centre for those looking for a holiday which combines all year round sun, sea and sand with excellent restaurants and great upmarket shops.
The resort is only a 30 minute drive or taxi ride from the international airport at Arrecife. Playa Blanca has a very attractive pedestrianised shopping area offering a wide range of shops selling everything from gifts and jewellery to perfumes and designer fashion wear.
The area has a much more relaxed atmosphere than the upbeat and commercial night life which is to be found in the northern resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise. The coastal promenade with its numerous bars, cafes and restaurants offers many opportunities to eat magnificent food in an outdoor setting whilst watching the world walk by.
Not far from Playa Blanca is the island's most beautiful beach called Papagayo. This beach with it's white sand and the surrounding conservation area is an unspoilt paradise almost unequalled anywhere else in the world. Mighty lava rocks, deep blue sea and fine white sand. What more could anyone wish for?
You can also take the ferry to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura where a whole new range of shops wait to be explored. The trip takes just forty minutes and the ferries run a regular hourly service. |
