It offers an impressive variety of excellent restaurants, bars, cafes and interesting shops as well as numerous golf courses. The old town has an Andalucian character with narrow cobbled streets and the ‘Plaza de Naranja’ is a delightful place to sit and enjoy a drink or meal at one of the many cafes or restaurants. Not far from Marbella is Puerto Banus - the place to see and to be seen! The harbour if filled with beautiful and expensive yachts and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The picturesque beauty and historic culture of Andalusia offers many excursions. The Andalusian capital of Seville and Granada, with the world famous Alhambra Palace are 2 hours drive away and make for very nice day trips. Gibraltar is only an hours drive and little villages like Ronda, Mijas, Coin and Benahavis are closer and offer many ‘pueblos blancos’ or white villages that are a pleasure to explore. Tennis can be played locally at El Casco Tennis Club. There are many good golf courses to choose from. The beach, 2 minutes away is long and sandy with shallow, water and many great beach side restaurants - perfect for families.
