The apartment is for non smokers and benefits from full air conditioning which also an keeps you nice and cool in the summer as well as warm in those "offpeak" winter evenings. The 5* Westin Hotel and Country Club are both located "on site" at La Quinta and only a short walk away. The facilities include a 27 ( three 9 hole ) golf course, indoor pool, tennis , squash, sauna, fitness centre, restaurants, bars and cafes. The swimming pool for the use of residents only is located opposite the apartment . The Marbella Football Acadamy is also a 5 min drive from the apartment so you may get lucky and see your favorate "premiership team" doing their pre-season training !
Puerto Banus with it's famous Marina and the Harrods' like department store El Corte Ingles is just 6km away (take advantage of the excellent value for money buffet at the second floor: family 3 course lunches for 24 euros for 4 people or eat as much as you can dinner for only 24 euros; they could also organise beach picnic for 6 euros/person).
The Thursday weekly market in San Pedro is also worth a visit. 1 day trips to Marocco could be easily arranged from Tarifa.

Our apartment is around 35 minutes from both Malaga and Gibraltar airports. The entrance to La Quinta is directly off the motorway making access to other Spanish cities easy. The massive La Canada shopping centre in Marbella, and Marbella itself are about a ten minute drive away. Puerto Banus is home to the rich and famous and has the most beautiful marina where you can sit and watch the world go by. It has designer shops and extensive restaurants and nightlife. La Quinta has one of the top golf courses in the area - but if you a golfer, many others are within short driving distance.
