With the lowest amount of rainfall it is a great location for your holiday in both summer and winter. Playa Honda is a village set on the shore of the Mar Menor which offers an abundance of water sports from sailing, jet skiing, sail boarding, scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing, the choice is yours, the average water temp reaches 30c in summer, or you could just relax and lie on the warm sandy beach and simply drift away. For the more athletic, the La Manga club is 10 mins up the road and you are able to use all of the facilities which include tennis, horse riding, bowls, crazy golf, pitch and putt and of course golf. Also on offer at the La Manga club are many fine places to eat, go clubbing or even go to the casino. There are many lovely towns and villages dotted around the Mar Menor which are well worth a visit especially interesting is the Sunday market at Cabo de Palo (5 mins from apartment by car), which is excellent for leather goods and local fresh produce.
