We think this is a great place for couples, families or groups of friends. There is a kids club for the over 4's. There are a lot of steps in the resort so it is not wheelchair friendly. A shuttle bus runs throughout the resort.,

The apartment is in a quiet location within the resort. Kalkan is 10 minutes by boat or 5 minutes by taxi. Here you will find wonderful restaurants with great views, the old town with its winding streets and plenty of interesting shops to browse in.

This apartment is within the luxurious Patara Prince Resort, overlooking the bay of Kalkan. A stunning location, fabulous architecture and great facilities combine to make this resort a truly magical place. There are three outdoor swimming pools to relax around, landscaped gardens to stroll through on your way to the restaurant or bar, and a gym, diving, and watersports on site for the more energetic. Sunbathing platforms are tucked away in the natural stone of the private shoreline giving direct access to the cool clear water of the Mediterranean.

This air conditioned apartment has the advantage of bright sunny rooms and a large southwest facing balcony with sea views. From the living area, a queen sized bed looks out through double doors over the balcony to the sea. Sun loungers await you for that essential snooze in the heat of the afternoon. Two single sofa beds provide extra accommodation.
There is a well equipped kitchen area and shop nearby for those who like to self cater. The shower room has plenty of towels, complimentary soap and shower gel and a hairdryer. The apartment is cleaned twice weekly and all linen is provided.

Facilities at this four star resort are exceptional.
There are three outdoor pools to relax around, all with fabulous views. Take your pick between the Grand Swimming Pool next to the Terrace restaurant; the Round Swimming Pool with bar facing the historic Patara gate for over 16's only or the Terrace Pool at the top of the resort near the club house which serves drinks and snacks. There is a children pool attached to the Grand and Terrace pools.
Restaurants include Patara A la Carte Restaurant on the Terrace overlooking Kalkan bay, Apollonia Beach & Buffet Restaurant and Agora Restaurant for Mediterranean and Italian cuisine.
Jasmine Patisserie provides freshly baked croissants, pies, cakes and ice cream.
Health Club; Gym, heated indoor pool, sauna, beauty therapy, hair care and Turkish massage.
Watersports include windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkeling and scuba-diving at the resorts private seafront. Private diving lessons are available. A speed boat is on hand for bay cruises and sunset charters, also a classical water shuttle runs everyday in the daytime to and from Kalkan.

About the area.
Kalkan Town is a small peaceful Mediterranean resort and fishing town on the beautiful Turquoise Coast of Turkey.
Sitting at the foot of the Taurus mountains, the town is a maze of narrow streets, whitewashed villas and small local shops, bars and restaurants. Kalkan is renowned for it's rooftop restaurants and bars which have wonderful views over the bay. For the shop-aholics amongst you there are many boutiques and local craft shops to browse in.
Kalkan is five minutes by car or ten minutes by boat from the Patara Prince Resort.
Further afield you can hike through the Saklikent Gorge, explore the ruins of Lycian cities such as Myra, Xanthos, and Patara, visit small Turkish villages in the mountains or laze on the 14 kilometre long unspoilt Patara beach.

Directions.
Take the only road out of the airport - a dual carriageway - for about 6km until you come to the main D400 coast road. Turn right, heading south west. After about 40km, you'll reach Fethiye, continue on the D400 for another 80km until you reach Kalkan. Don't take the turning into Kalkan Town, instead carry on the road for 2 minutes until you reach the Patara Prince resort on the right. You can drive into the resort to drop luggage but should then park your car on the road just above the resort near to the mini market.
Collect keys from hotel reception in the Patara Prince Hotel at the bottom of the resort. Please inform the hotel direct of your arrival time. |
