The property is situated on a development just outside the small town of La Marina on the Southern Costa Blanca. The city of Alicante is just a 30 minute drive away. One of the best 'Blue Flag' beaches in the area is just a short walk from the apartment and the fine sandy beach stretches for more than 5kms.
The beach caters for all tastes from Family orientated to Naturist. The famous 'Salinas' or salt pans of the area stretch to the left of the development and the whole area is a mecca for birds including large flocks of flamingos. The small town of La Marina is a 5 minute drive and has banks, cafes, restaurants, supermarket and a range of good small shops.
The historic town of Elche which is the shoe capital of Spain is just a 20 minute drive and offers a wonderful old town and the most magnificent palm gardens for which the area is famous. Other towns in the area are Guardamar del Segura, Santa Pola, Torrevieja and Glitzy Benidorm which is great for nightlife.
If you want theme parks then around an hours drive away you you will find Terra Mitica and Aqualandia, great entertainment for the family.
Further afield is the Roman town of Cartagena and the City Of Murcia. You can also visit inland the small village of Guadalest perched high on the hilltop.
The island of Tabarca can be seen from the apartment and ferries run regularly from Santa Pola and take around 25 mins. The island is great for snorkeling and has crystal clear waters. The fish restaurants on the Island are fantastic and all offer great food and wonderful views of the beach and water front.
