Location
Set in the heart of the Dordogne and overlooking the river, The property is situated two kilometers outside the village of Marnac, 18 kilometers from Salat and 40 from Bergerac. The property is located just off the D703 road. 2 kms from the town of Soirac-en-Perigord, which has a variety of shops.
The region is adorned with historical sites to visit, open air markets and Chateaux. For the more adventurous there is hot-air ballooning, canoeing and many other sporting activities.
Explore the area on a bicycle. Hire one for a day or for the whole of your stay. There are many quiet, flat roads and tracks which are suitable for the inexperienced rider.

Situated just 2km from the local town and within 20km of many wonderful attractions including Baynac, Salat and Castlenaud; and with canoeing, horse riding and golf just a few minutes drive away, this is a fantastic holiday haven waiting for you. Wander the woods, sit in the walnut grove or just admire the spectacular views. The local area is flooded with great restaurants, historical sites, chateaux, markets and caves.
Set facing west with a fabulous view are a pair of large 3 bedroom , 3 bathroom gites. The gite Perigord is one of two gites that is part of a former tobacco drying barn, now converted into comfortable accommodation. With 2 double and 4 single beds. An open plan living area with games, television, cd/radio and books. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher and a large furnished terrace with barbecue. The two gites, Perigord and Noix make a great spot for a large family get together, accommodating upto 16 combined.
The gardens
La Grande Marque is set in 13 acres of parkland with around and acre of various fruit trees. Each property has its own private garden with well kept lawns. Very often we have deer and wild boar pay a visit!! |
