Indicates location of property Italy > Le Marche > Torchiaro Le Marche is a region of Italy that away from the many resorts on the Adriatic coast with their blue flag beaches is still unspolit and a beautiful example of the real Italy totally unspoilt where the pace of life is much slower and more relaxed and if this is the type of holiday that you enjoy where better than Casa Margherita the 'Daisy House' in the tranquil village setting of Torchiaro which is hidden away in the province of Ascoli Piceno but still only 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Porto San Giorgio on the Adriatic coast and ideally situated for the well known ski resort of Sarnano which is only 40 minutes away in the opposite direction. The village of Torchiaro dates back to the 13th century but is still only 60 minutes from Ancona airport and 90 minutes from Pescara airport both served by daily flights by Ryanair from London Stansted airport, and is therefore only 20 minutes from the A14 Autostrada the nearest exit being Fermo / Porto San Giorgio. There are many local villages to visit all with their own character, further afield you might like to visit the Grotte di Frasassi near to Fabriano or the University town of Urbino near to Ancona is the hill top town of Loreto where you should visit the Holy House of Nazareth here you can see the Black Madonna reputed to have been brought from the Holy Land by the Angels. If you wish to venture even further Ascoli Piceno is 75km away Gran Sasso 100 km and Roma 260km all distances by autostrada. The house is situated in the peaceful village of Torchiaro. The village history can be traced back to the 13th century and the house is thought to be 500 years old, having been uninhabited for the past 30 years at least it has under gone a complete restoration with the interior being totally gutted and rebuilt using local craftsmen and materials and every attempt has been made to retain as much of the original appearance and character as possible. The house is spread over three floors the main entrance being on the middle floor of the three on this level there is a large room that is the main living room, and kitchen diner there is a double door to the rear that takes you onto the balcony with is magnificent panoramic view over the surrounding countryside where the village of Monterubbiano can be seen on the horizon as can the town of Fermo. From this room we have constructed a staircase to the basement area where there is a further living room with double sofa bed a smaller sitting room with single bed and a bathroom with shower cubicle from here there is an exterior door that takes you out to the rear of the house and down a few steps you will find the utility room. From the main floor by the front door there is a staircase that takes to the top floor where you will find a further bathroom to the rear the main bedroom with king size bed and to the front a second bedroom with single bed.
