Famous for Foie Gras, wines and Medieval beauty - Périgueux(40mins) for fabulous shopping in bijoux lanes - St Emilion(1 hour) for lunch and wine - Bordeaux(1 hour 30 mins) for its cosmopolitan café culture and amazing history. Also Chateaux, castles, museums, rivers, historical theme parks, zoos and animal sanctuaries, adventure and water fun parks and endless wonderful restaurants all within 5 -30 mins drive.

By Air - Airports:-- Bergerac and Limoges - approx 60 minutes from the property
By Rail - The Paris-Brive direct rail service takes just under 4 hours and we are twenty minutes from Brive.
By Car - The motorway is 30 minutes approx from the property - Calais -570 miles (8.5-10) hours via Paris - St Malo 400 miles (6.5 hours)

Accommodation
Le Petit Donjon, so called because the main house resembles a castle keep, is a lovely, well equipped apartment for two plus two.
The bed/sitting room has two single beds which can be positioned together or apart. There is also a wardrobe, dresser, sofabed and coffee table. The apartment is equipped with a television which receives French television - ideal for improving your french and the weather, a VCR, DVD and Radio . There are large french doors which open onto the covered terrace and look out across the fabulous garden. There is also another window at the side of the room allowing light to flood in.
The kitchen/diner is well with a cooker, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, freezer and 2 fridges (one for drinks!). There is a dining table and chairs. There are more french doors onto the terrace with a fixed BBQ.
There is a tiled shower room with WC.
The gardens
The covered terrace has a garden table and chairs and a bench in the delightful established large gardens. There are many trees for shade, a wisteria arch, numerous shrubs, lawns and pretty flowers.
There is a perfect area away from the house for picnics with fabulous views over the countryside. |
