Turkey > Aegean Region > Altinkum The villa is on the Aegean Pines complex in an area called Yesilkent, which is a 10 minute drive outside the busy resort of Altinkum. A sandy beach is only a 3 minutes walk away, where you can join in with wind-surfing, water-skiing, sunbeds provided (low cost), bars, restaurants, local grocery shop. In the resort of Altinkum, you will find a multitude of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, huge promenade area that stays awake until late, fun-fair etc. The historic ancient ruins of Apollos Temple is situated only a 15 minute drive away - well worth seeing and the villa is an excellent base for other magnificent tours such as Ephesus and Pammukale. Other popular excursions include boat trips from Altinkum harbour, and island trips to Bodrum, Kos etc. Altinkum boasts 3 beautiful sandy beaches and a market takes place in the town centre every Saturday. You can hire a car for very reasonable rates, but the local Dolmus (mini-bus) will usually take you anywhere you need to go at extremely low rates - and lots of fun too.
