The cottage is located up a country lane, in the west of Ireland in the county of Clare a mile the village of Bellharbour, and the shores of the Galway Bay.
It is found of the N67 coastal road between the coastal villages of Kinvara and Ballyvaughan. There are many historic sites from Ring forts, the famous Poulnabourne Dolmen to be explored.
Corcomroe Abbey can be seen from the Cottage and the Famous hidden 'Seven churches' are also nearby. Other attractions in the area are Alliwee caves, which are open all year round.
There are several golf courses within in an hours drive, the nearest is just 20 minutes away. Fishing and scuba diving are just some of the activities that you do in the area.
There are a choice of beaches to visit . The Cliffs of Moher, Galway city and Ennis are just over half an hour away. The ideal touring base for the west of Ireland.
Traditional Irish music played in nearby Ballyvaughan and Kinvara pubs during the summer. The local village has a pub with, small shop in corner of same and post office beside it plus public telephone beside it.

8 miles away is Kinvara which has a medieval Castle. From Mid April to October they have medieval banquets and you may even be crowned King or Queen for the night!
