On the outskirts of the village of Couze on top of a hill with open views, Toutifaut is in what we call the purple Perigord, on the doors of the black Perigord. It is a perfect centre for exploring all its interesting sites to be visited such as the medieval fortified towns, countless abbeys, castles and châteaux and the numerous prehistoric sites, notably the famous Lascaux caves. The vineyards of Bergerac are within 20 minutes drive and Bordeaux can be reached in an hour and a half. On the way do not miss to visit Saint-Emilion vineyard which is known worldwide.
