The area offers a real possibility of enjoying a wonderful holiday. The house is at the centre of Nardò, an ancient town of 32,000 inhabitants, very rich in churches, palaces and historical buildings of different architectural periods, especially baroque. It's also a modern town, with all that can be needed in the different fields (refined shops, exclusive boutiques, supermarkets, discounts, cinema, theatre, pharmacies, hospital, post offices, etc.). The head town in the county is Lecce, worldwide known for its cultural life and for its baroque. The house is also near the seaside (the sea can be reached by bus too) - about 4.5km from Santa Caterina di Nardò, which is the smartest and most exclusive resort of the Ionian coast. The coastline is an alternation of low rocks, small sand shores, pebble shores and long beaches. The sea is low and warm near the beaches, it's blue, crystalline and deep near the rocky coast, the ideal sea for scuba diving. A paradise for people of all ages and all pockets, as the coast is mostly open to free bathing, though there are many bathing establishments. Next to Santa Caterina there is Posto Selvaggio, a natural reserve containing a large pine wood along the sea and a small splendid cove which can be reached only walking down through the wood or from the sea. In the same area prehistoric remains can be found, the most important are in the Uluzzo Bay, which has given the name to the Uluzzian period in the upper paleolithic. Another important sea resort is Gallipoli, 16km away. The summer is the season of festivals and concerts, besides the many discos, restaurants, pubs and pizza houses which offer a large range of amusement possibilities.

The house is rented on receiving an anticipation of 40% of the total price by postal order.
- on receiving the keys a caution deposit of € 120,00 is required for damages and of € 25 for final cleaning, to be given back respectively on your leaving if nothing is damaged and if the house is perfectly cleaned;

Besides enjoying a fresh apartment (it is built in a local stone which keeps the house fresh in summer and warm in winter), completely furnished, you will find a home with owners on hand for any help should you require it, both for the use of the house and for the knowledge of the surrounding territory. I am a teacher in the local Lycee and my husband is an architect. We love our Salento and really want you to enjoy it at its best.
Salento is one of the most beautiful areas in Italy, you must realize it personally. A comfortable link is the direct flight London - Brindisi. We could fetch you in Lecce or even in Brindisi.
