The apartment is situated in Mar de Cristal which is an up and coming area. The village has a selection of shops and restaurants and is only a 5 minute walk from the beach.
There are various markets in the neighboring villages which sell a wide selection of fruit & vegetables, meat, fish as well as clothes, shoes, household goods and much more.
The Mar Menor is the nearest sea which is a large salt water lagoon enjoying warm shallow waters ideal for all water sports as well as being a good spot for families and couples.
The Mar Menor is famous for The Black Mud which is said to have therapeutic qualities and helps in the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments.
The waters of the Mar Menor can reach up to 30c during the summer months which is why water sports are so popular here. With an average of 320 days of sunshine each year and this being one of the driest regions of Spain, it makes an ideal holiday destination in both summer and winter.
The area around the Mar Menor is relatively flat, making it ideal for walking and cycling and has numerous villages along the coastline.
There are activities to suit all ages and these include horse riding, go-carting, tennis, golfing and a vast range of nautical sports.
The La Manga club is around 5 minutes by car and this offers numerous championship golf courses, tennis courts, spa facilities and many other activities as well as a host of bars and restaurants, and is open to non residents all year round.
Recently there have been several new golf courses opened and a list of these is provided in our information pack which you will find at the apartment. Golfing holiday breaks can be arranged by contacting us.
Within the area are a choice of national and international cuisine at very reasonable prices so you will be spoilt for choice.
