Marina Villa is located in a prime location at the heart of Coral Bay. Coral Bay and the surrounding area boasts a wide variety of attractions and places to visit, there is something to suit everyone.
Beaches
The beautiful blue flag beach of Coral Bay is only 10/15 minutes walk from the villa. At the beaches in Coral Bay and surrounding area you can soak up the sun or enjoy a variety of water sports eg water-skiing, jet skiing parasailing. Fishing trips and boat trips are also available.
Water Park
The Aphrodite Water Park is situated in Paphos with a large number of attractions. It boasts the biggest family rafting ride in Europe. Virtually guaranteed sunshine for every one of it's opening days it attracts 100,000 visitors every year. Young or old, swimmer or not there is something for everyone here and it is a cool way to spend a day.
Golf
The area around Coral Bay has three 18 hole golf courses. Secret Valley which is 18km east of Pahos, Aphrodite Hills which is 20km from Paphos and Tsada which is 15 minutes drive from Paphos.
The Akamas Penninsular
The Akamas region ia a coastal area in the district of Paphos which is rich and varied in flora. In spring it provides a spectacle of breathtaking beauty with colours and shapes long lost inmost of the rest of the island, a reminder of the island's original identity. It's coastline is still largely pristine and it's marine life little impacted by the advance of civilisation. Green turtles still nest on it's beaches and the occasional Monk Seal is still sighted there.
Paphos Harbour and Castle
The harbour at Paphos attracts visitors all year round who take the opportunity to walk along the quay and maybe visit one of the fish restaurants or tavernas. The view is superb with lots of colourful fishing boats bobbing in the harbour and the castle guarding the entrance to the harbour.
The Paphos Mosaics
These colourful and intricate mosaics were discovered by accident in the 1960's- further excavation revealed a number of Roman houses all with spectacular mosaics. The main sites are the House of Dionysis, the House of Aion and the House of Theseus.
Troodos Mountains
The impressive Troodos Mountain range stretches across most of the western side of Cyprus offering cool sanctuary and idyllic hours spent on long walks in it's scented pine forests in summer and winter sports in winter. (In winter it is possible to sunbathe in Coral Bay and ski in the Troodos on the same day!) You can find the many famous mountain resorts, Byzantine monasteries and churches on mountain peaks nestling in the valleys and picturesque mountain villages clinging to terraced hill slopes.
