The magical atmosphere of an enchanting river that resembles with a fjord running through the hills with its salty water, that also runs through rich gardens, thick woods and spectacular walls of rocks. A magnificent waterway that, for the importance of its natural environment, has been classified as a Site of Relevance from the EC. On the shores of the river, embellished by reeds, you could spot the dance of the Purple Heron, the Grey Heron and the Fairy Martin. The unrealistically shaped rocky coastline and the sobriety of its beaches. The greatness of its pink coastal cliffs, the spectacular beauty of the shapes of the rocks modeled by the strong mistral wind, the superb colours and the exhilarating smells of its hill fields, of its far valleys and of its uncontaminated woods, the ancient, silent and lonely sheep folds of the shepherds, the majestic fly of the last native specimen of the griffin vulture and the exciting acrobatic feats of the royal eagle, of the peregrine hawk and of the goshawk.You can stroll along the river, visit a museum, a gallery or one of the many beautiful churches. You can go diving, snorkeling, kite surfing or rent a boat and explore some of the many beaches. There are many festivals during the year and the locals are keen to involve visitors, which makes it all a more memorable visit. Previous guests have enthused about participating in dinners and dancing late into the night. There is a large choice of restaurants and cafes most reached on foot. Currency exchange and cash machines are available at the banks or post office. There is also a weekly market within walking distance as well as Internet cafes. Parking is possible just a short walk from the house, from approx. 150 metres away. There are now several agencies in town who can arrange trips and excursions, diving or snorkeling. You can hire bikes, go hiking or visit wildlife reserves. Alternatively going back to Alghero you can take a boat trip to Grotto di Nettuno, stroll around the marina and old town centre, or do a bit of shopping.
