The studio is centrally located in La Rochelle (not in the Les Minimes district), just 5 Min's walk to the La Rochelle seafront promenade and about 15-20 minutes walk of the Old Port, and the bars, restaurants and shops of La Rochelle.
La Rochelle well deserves its reputation as "the most attractive and unspoilt seaside town in France". Set around its Old Port, with its famous twin towers, are a host of delights including port side bars and restaurants, old arcade town streets, parks and gardens historical buildings such as the Hôtel de Ville, Maison Henri II or the Palais de Justice – as well as of course the Tours de la Chaîne, la Lanterne and St.Nicolas, museums of all sorts, including Musée des Beaux-Arts, Musée du Nouveau Monde and the Musée Maritime and La Rochelle beach to relax on after a walk though the sea-front parks!
As if the attractions of La Rochelle itself aren't enough the area is the second sunniest in France, after the Côte d'Azur - but without their prices or crowds! Situated in the beautiful Charente-Maritime ("land and sea: the elements of success") and within easy striking distance of the Aquitaine/Gironde, including the Médoc there are loads of interesting places to visit and things to do in the area, including sleepy villages and livelier towns, beaches, châteaux/wine tasting, nature reserves - or just sitting outside bars watching the world go by!
Within easy striking distance are : Chatelallion Plage, Ile de Ré, Ile d'Oléron, St. Jean d'Angély, Angoulême, Royan, Rochefort, Cognac, Blaye, Saintes, Niort and even Bordeaux.

Outside July & August, the studios can be booked by the night (minimum 3 or 4 nights, depending on season) and start/finish days can be any mid-week day (Monday - Friday), but not Saturday or Sunday.
During July and August, bookings can only be made by the full week, starting and finishing on Thursdays or Fridays.
25% booking deposit is payable at the time of booking. Final payment is due 8 weeks before your booking commences.
A £100 per booking breakages/excess cleaning deposit (« dépôt de garantie » under French law) is payable with your final payment, and which will be returned to your credit/debit card within 7 days after the end of your holiday, less any deductions for breakages or excessive cleaning that is needed.

Newly furnished and decorated in 2004, the studio consists of a large living/bed room (3.6m x 5.9m), with full width double patio doors opening onto the 6.5m balcony & a large living area with sofa, easy chair & coffee table.
At the other end of the room, separated if you wish by curtains on tension wire, is a full sized double bed with quality mattress (+ child's bed available)
There is a separate kitchen - also opening onto the balcony, a dressing room & bathroom/WC
We want you to have a great holiday, treating the studios as if they were your home, to be able to relax and feel comfortable. So ...
The studios will suit people who are independent travellers, wanting to explore for themselves what France has to offer and wanting to stay in French residences, rather than holiday complexes or hotels surrounded by other holiday-makers.
They won't suit people who feel more comfortable with package holidays, having everything arranged for them and being in the company of other holiday-makers !
The Residences in which the studios are located are ideal for those seeking a nice relaxing holiday home in tranquil surroundings, but with the life of La Rochelle nearby - so please book somewhere else if you want loud, late night parties with your friends !
But if you're an independent traveller, wanting to explore real France for yourself and looking for high quality accommodation for 2 - these are the studios for you ! |
