Motorway A1: in the stretch between Firenze and Bologna exit at “Barberino di Mugello”. From the village of Barberino di Mugello follow the road signs for Montepiano for about 7 km (Provincial Road 36) and you get to the small village of Mangona. Turn left at the open space with a little green bridge.
Cross the little bridge and follow the dirt road for about 300 m. and you will find La Fornacina on the left.
La Fornacina has a 6m x 12m swimming-pool deep in a green and tranquil location, ideal for relaxing and swimming in the clear and fresh mountain water outpouring from our spring.
Nature-lovers can choose whether to walk, to ride a mountain-bike, or a horse along the several paths in the surrounding areas. Possible trips with English or French speaking guide. At the nearby Lago di Bilancino you can swim, canoe, sail, windsurf, and fish. But if you’d rather feel the peaceful emotion of soaring, the Aviosuperficie near Borgo San Lorenzo is the place for you. Otherwise, if you are more inclined to keep your feet well planted on the ground, you can try your hand at golf at the Golf Club, or watch the Ferrari tests at the Mugello International Circuit, the location of important sporting events such as the World Motorbike Championship.
For the lovers of art, Florence is only a 30 km drive, Bologna is a 60 km drive; in the area there are Medicean Castles and Museums.
Gastronomic and wine-tasting tours; a visit to an organic farm to see the making of cheese, relaxing massages with natural oils... please feel free to ask for any of your requirements.

To reserve the apartment a deposit of 30% is required; the deposit is reimbursable except if cancellation is in the three months before arrival date. The balance is due upon arrival, together with a deposit of 150 € for losses and damages that will be refunded upon departure.
The rates include: water, gas, electricity, bed linen, bath towels, weekly cleaning and change of linen, access to the swimming-pool, satellite TV. Extra expenses: final cleaning, heating, 10% taxes.
