The area is very Spanish and not spoilt by tourism. Not many of the local Spanish people speak English, so if you know a bit of the language it will help, if not they are good at sign language!! They are very welcoming and will help you all they can. The area is steeped in history on "The Moors & Christians era" that backdates to the 14th century. There are some fantastic monuments and churches. Vineyards for miles and local Bodegas to taste the local wine, which I might add is very drinkable in large quantities. The surrounding mountains are beautiful to look at and climb for the more energetic.
Cycling is a favorite sport around the area. There are restaurants in the local towns, which are mainly Spanish, but there are some Chinese restaurants around. The villa is centrally located to visit all the big attractions on the Costa Blanca. Benidorm is 45 minutes by car, Javea, Denia at one hour. To the South is Murcia at one hour. Costa Del Sol is about 4-5 hours to Granada and Malaga. To the North is Madrid at around 4 hours, Valencia at 2 hours and Barcelona at 4 hours. All these towns are accessible by tip top Motorways. The nearest beach is Santa Pola at around 30-40 minutes away with some of the best beaches in Spain. It is very hot in the Summer months but generally cooler than the coastal areas.
Car Hire is recommended to make the most of this are and you convenience.

This luxurious villa is built to a high specification all on one level. There are some steps on the porches to enter the villa and the games room. There are fantastic views of the surrounding mountains all around the villa which sits high on a hill overlooking the town of Monovar. The villa is set on an 8000m2 plot, the rear garden is over 100 yards long. There is a 500 m2 tiled patio area, which is totally secluded with an 8 foot fence and very private, electric gates. there is an oval shaped private pool and childrens play pool. There is a 12 foot pergola next to a large BBQ. There is a childrens play area with double swing, slide and playhouse, toys are also provided. This is a fantastic location for chilling out. The whole patio area lights up at night so you can use it anytime. There are 22 palm trees, fir trees and fruit trees (help yourself) at the right time of the year. The living area is landscaped with flowers and plants and gravelled for easy maintenance. There is a car port and loads of parking space for visitors. This villa can also be used for corporate events such as training, team building etc. Great place, tenant comments "we thought we were the Beckhams for a week"
There is a spacious lounge/diner. It has a TV with English channels and Spanish, a video with tapes for adults and children, a DVD player and 5 CD stereo system with Cd's. The lounge is large with leather seating. The dining table is glass and seats 6 easily. This area is decorated to a high standard. Air conditioning available.
The kitchen is white goods and has everything any modern kitchen has. All the crockery and utensils are provide. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, coffee maker, electric cooker and grill & microwave. Separate utility area and drying area.
There are four bedrooms. the master suite is very spacious and en-suite with air conditioning. the en-suite bathroom has a bath and shower, bidet and double sink (his & Hers) mirrors and lighting. There is a double bed with a single bed if you want a young child in with you.
The second bedroom is a double room with built in wardrobes and plenty of drawer space, dressing table and mirrors.
There are two twin bedded rooms, one of which has air conditioning and half a bath room.
A full bathroom is shared between the two bedrooms.
The sleeping quarters are separate from the living area, so the kids can go to bed whilst the adults go to bed whenever they like.
There is a separate games room with pool, darts, board games, childrens toys, putting game & table soccer. This room also doubles as the 5th bedroom with a double sofa bed.
The living space is over 300m2 and very large.
