Lavaissiere Basse is deep in farm country approximately 80km north west of Toulouse - about a one hour drive. It is close to the villages of Vazerac, Molieres and the historic hilltop town of Castelnau-Montratier (Lot) and Lauzerte. Cahors (Lot) and Montauban (Tarn et Garonne) for larger towns are 30 minutes away. Moissac with its famed cloisters, Caussade for its splendid market, and St. Antonin du Noble Val in the Gorges du Tarn are all within a thirty-minute drive. Bordeaux is just over 2 hours to the north west.
