On a private island, The Garden Cottage is in the gardens of Scalpay House & was totally refurbished in 2005. It now provides gorgeous, luxury holiday accommodation for 4 (the 2 bedrooms each have an ensuite). The views over the bay are magnificent & the cottage is set right by the sea. It is totally tranquil (there are only 4 other houses on the island) and the wildlife and birds are abundant.

This idyllic holiday cottage is situated on the Isle of Scalpay, which is located between the Isle of Skye and the Applecross Peninsula. It is an ideal haven if you want to escape from the pace of everyday life and want a totally different holiday experience. There are 200 acres of pretty woodland, lochs, burns, hills and 14 miles of shoreline to explore on this quiet and secluded island.
Getting Here:
The last part of the journey to the Isle of Scalpay is by private boat, by arrangement.
Nearest Airport:
90 miles - Inverness Airport (2 hrs drive). There is also an airstrip at Broadford on Skye (but no scheduled flights)
Nearest Station:
Kyle of Lochalsh
By road:
From the Skye Bridge turn right towards Portree and follow the A87 to Broadford.

Weekends: Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated (rental is from 4pm day of arrival day to 10am day of departure)
There is an additional charge for pets: approximately £10 per week, and in some cases a refundable damage deposit may be required. Dogs are welcome so long as they are kept under strict control at all times and not permitted to chase the farm or wild animals. Please note that pets are not allowed onto the furniture at any time.
