This idyllic holiday cottage is situated on the Isle of Scalpay, which is located between the Isle of Skye and the Applecross Peninsula. It is an ideal haven if you want to escape from the pace of everyday life and want a totally different holiday experience. There are 200 acres of pretty woodland, lochs, burns, hills and 14 miles of shoreline to explore on this quiet and secluded island.
Getting Here: The last part of the journey to the Isle of Scalpay is by private boat, by arrangement.
Nearest Airport: 90 miles - Inverness Airport (2 hrs drive). There is also an airstrip at Broadford on Skye (but no scheduled flights)
Nearest Station: Kyle of Lochalsh
By road: From the Skye Bridge turn right towards Portree and follow the A87 to Broadford. |

Weekends: Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated (rental is from 4pm day of arrival day to 10am day of departure)
There is an additional charge for pets: approximately £10 per week, and in some cases a refundable damage deposit may be required. Dogs are welcome so long as they are kept under strict control at all times and not permitted to chase the farm or wild animals. Please note that pets are not allowed onto the furniture at any time.

This cottage sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, with 2 bathrooms, generously spaced living areas and a cloakroom. The layout of the cottage provides thoughtful accommodation allowing guests to enjoy the beach, garden and views to maximum effect.
The cottage has plenty of traditional character, with pine beams and a roaring log fire. The wonderful sea facing conservatory offers a perfect opportunity to relax, sip wine and watch the evening sun turn the hills majestic red.
Set on a point overlooking the sea towards Applecross and the mainland, the Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye. The cottage is reached by track from the main house (approx 1/3rd of mile).
The Keepers is let as an individual unit with all ancillaries such as firewood, bed linen, towels, and soaps. Additional facilities include a drying room with tumble drier, DVD player and DVDs, CD player, books and games. Please note that electricity is not included but metered and paid in cash at the end of your stay. |
