A 45 minute drive away from Faro airport, the small village of Salicos lies close to the resort town of Carvoeiro.
Carvoeiro is best known for its number of little eye-catching beaches. The main beach is situated right in the centre of town, offering a choice of cafes, bars and market stalls and live entertainment in the evenings. Numerous other pleasant beaches, such as Carvalho, Centianes and Marinha can be found nearby. Most are sheltered by high cliffs which have been eroded over centuries to create caverns and fascinating rock formations.
Portuguese cuisine can be found everywhere, from traditional national dishes to regional menus. Restaurants line the road to the town beach and the main square boasts several fine eating establishments.
For sports enthusiasts, there are two championship golf courses (Gramacho and Vale da Pinta) and a tennis centre to the west of the village.

The beautiful lounge and dining area has satellite T.V. DVD and CD music system. Patio doors lead directly to the pool and barbecue terraces.
The fully fitted luxury kitchen has dishwasher, microwave, American style double fridge/freezer with automatic ice making machine and breakfast table. The washer and dryer are in a separate laundry room.
The ground floor has a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower. Patio doors lead on to the pool area.
There is a further twin bedroom on the ground floor also with ensuite power shower and doors to the pool.
Stairs lead to a double bedroom with ensuite shower and patio doors to the breakfast terrace.
The 4th bedroom is also a twin room with ensuite shower and patio doors to the breakfast terrace.
Bars, restaurants and a mini-supermarket are all a 15 minute walk from the villa.
We would strongly recommend hiring a car to make the most of your stay in the Algarve and are able to assist you with this service. |
