The villa is built in a small quiet close in a residential area in the village of Emba. The local supermarket stocks a full range of products, from local produce to Heinz Beans! There is a local take-away selling traditional Cypriot food.
The surrounding villages of Lempa, Chlorakas and Kissonerga all have local restaurants. Coral Bay is a few minutes drive away and its high street is full of bars and restaurants. It has a character of its own and is full of life. A few minutes drive further on, leads you to the sandy beach and water sports.
Paphos main town and harbour are in the opposite direction, where facilities are abundant. There are two contrasting areas, The Harbour - with its many restaurants or Bar Street - for clubland and bars. The Island has something to offer all ages and tastes.
The Troodos Mountains for skiing in the winter and site seeing and walking in the summer. There are many vineyards on the slopes where you can sample a variety of local wines and purchase at very reasonable prices.
Day excursions are plentiful - jeep safaris to Troodos or the Akamas Peninsular, day/sunset cruises, fishing trips and guided walks.
If more lively activities are preferred, jet skis, paragliding, water skiing, scuba diving. go-karting, golf and horse riding are all close by, as well as a water park.
There are historic places to visit - The Mosaics, Tombs of the Kings, Baths of Aphrodite and the Kykkou Monastery. |
