The 18-hole PGA golf course was designed by Dave Thomas, is managed by the De Vere group, and is described by Sam Torrence as one of the best in Europe. Three other courses are within 15 mins drive. Please ask for more information including a discount on green fees when you stay with us. You also have access to an exclusive beach club located on La Manga strip offering a supervised pool, Jacuzzi, solarium, restaurant, and bar. It's located on the other side of the Mar Menor but is easy to get to by car or short ferry ride.
To the south is the bustling port of Cartegena offering fantastic bay side restaurants; to the north is the regions capital Murcia with its stunning Cathedral & cultural events. There are two outdoor karting circuits within 20 minutes drive, a cinema (showing English language films weekly), and in Los Alcazares many boutique shops in the old town. A huge newly-built shopping complex is 15 minutes south. The sandy beach (5 mins drive) offers water sports, cafes and bars.

We will do everything we can to ensure you get the dates you want but cannot guarantee those dates before a deposit is placed to secure them. We try to be flexible in the duration of your stay so cater for the short weekend breathers through week holidays to long term stays and you can start on any day of the week to take advantage of the cheaper flights.

We would like to help make your stay as easy and pleasant as possible.
There is a welcome pack that can be ordered for arrival (includes a bottle of wine to help you relax after the journey and breakfast e.g. croissants/jam/juice so you can have a lie in! Ask for details.
Please ask us about car hire (very good prices if booking in advance), or local attractions. We have an information pack available. Should any emergencies arise we have someone locally whom you can call for assistance.
While the apartment comes with a washing machine and clothes drier, if you'd prefer to have your sheets and towels laundered for you we can provide this at a small additional cost (or as a complimentary service for stays of more than 10 days).
If you have a large group do still contact us as we have agreements with adjacent apartments and so can cater for up to 12. The Mar Menor area is one of the sunniest in Spain with over 300 days sunshine a year. However, should the weather turn we have provided a Sony PlayStation games console with a library of games, a DVD player, and a state-of-the-art flat screen high definition LCD screen. Cable TV gives access to a dozen or so British TV channels. A small selection of board games are also provided.
Golf Information
Roda's 18 hole par 72 PGA golf course is designed by Dave Thomas. Sam Torrance is the golf Club Captain and has described the course as one of the best in Spain. The golf operation is managed by DeVere Hotels (responsible for the famous Belfry course in England). A 20% discount on green fees is available for the duration of your stay at Roda Golf and Beach Resort. On site is a pro-shop where clubs can be hired. Tuition is also available. A large floodlit driving range is also on-site. There are three further golf courses within a 15 minute drive of the resort, and three more within a 30-minute drive. If some of your party aren't keen on golf the beach is less than a mile away. It's right next to the winding cobbled roads of the Old Town with it's boutique shops. A newly-built large shopping complex housing a casino and cinema is just 15 mins drive away.
Restaurant Facilities
An excellent restaurant and bar (waitress service) is located on-site at the main resort in the Clubhouse serving full menu lunch and dinner. The local town, Los Alcazares offers dozens more choices and is only 1km away (less than 5 mins drive) - including Chinese, Fish & Steak speciality, Indian, World/Fusion, Italian, and Spanish cuisine. Please contact us for suggestions of some great places we have tried. A larger Clubhouse, shop and restaurant is due for completion in the resort in 2008 with 2010 seeing the opening of DeVere's five-star hotel and spa, along with a shopping mall. |
