England > Cornwall > West Portholland
Parc Vean enjoys a wonderful position in West Portholland - a hamlet that was recently declared an area of “outstanding natural beauty”. Virtually unchanged for over a hundred years, anyone lucky enough to stumble across this well-kept secret will come back again and again. With just one shop and a Post Office, this is one of the last few places you can experience the real Cornwall.
Parc Vean has a remarkable location in that it is both remote but connected to many beautiful places in Cornwall. The lovely city of Truro is only 20 minutes away by car and the stunning coastal village of St Mawes is only a fifteen minute drive. For nightlife Newquay is only a short half another away and you can visit Jamie Oliver's great Fifteen there.

At Parc Vean, the only alarm clock is the gentle lowing of cattle from the surrounding countryside. Or the lapping of waves from the nearby bay.
On its 2 acres of private land, you’ll find a child-size football goal, a massive fort (seriously), a big trampoline and a private child-safe pond.
Parc Vean has two stylish double bedrooms (one with a stunning en suite bathroom), a littl’uns bedroom with a bunk bed and sofa’s in both the living room and lounge.
Apart from the en suite, there is a lovely family bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, living room, lounge and laundry facilities. Plus wireless broadband in all the rooms and an eclectic DVD library.
Eating in With the top down on the Beetle, Lobb’s Farm Shop is a short and rather beautiful drive away. Full of mouth-watering and award-winning produce from local farms, it’s well worth a visit. They also deliver but make sure you order a week or so in advance.
Eating out There are so many choices here we needed to create an additional page to list them all - go to eating out
Days out Visit St Mawes, Truro, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the National Maritime Museum. (Not all on the same day, obviously.)
