The coast at Torre Del Mar has many beaches and eateries. The villages of Comares, Riogordo and Colmenar are close by. Granada, Serville, Cordaba and Malaga are all worth a visit, or just drive through the mountains exploring.
Velez Malaga has a large shopping centre. Many bars and restaurants are within easy reach. The Sierra Nevada is less than 2 hours away. El Torcal National Park and Antequerra are 45 minutes away. There is a Donkey Sanctuary at Fuente De Piedre where there is a large salt lake where Flamingos breed. Close by there is a man made lake (Vinuela) where fishing is possible.
