The villa is situated on the hillside overlooking Salobreña in the heart of the unspoilt Costa Tropical de Granada. If you can remember what the Costa del Sol used to be like before the developers turned it into a concrete jungle you will like it here.
The microclimate courtesy of the nearby highest mountains in Spain provides mainland Europes warmest winters and cooler than Costa del Sol summers. Now that road communications are much improved we are just 1 hour from Malaga airport and a similar distance from Granada and Almeria airports with the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada also only 1 hour away. Skiing one day and on the beach in 20ºC plus the next! Spanish traditions live on including free taps in most bars!

| The swimming pool is heated and guaranteed all year to be very comfortable for swimming, minimum 27ºC / 80ºF and there is no charge for pool heating as it is mostly by Solar which is free to us too! Also for very comfortable mid winter evenings the entire villa has underfloor heating also by solar and the waste water from the villa is recycled and used to irrigate the fruit trees. Other ecological features include re-claimed old hand made roof tiles and lime based rustic plasterwork throughout. The villa was designed by our architect daughter who has strong green credentials. |
