The Grapes is in the Grounds of our Grade 2 Listed Penally Manor House,in a conservation area and central to the village. The Village has a shop, 2 Pubs serving food, a restaurant and a fine Country house Hotel.

The Grapes is one of our self catering properties, available in the exclusive grounds of the Grade 2 Listed Gothic Style property known as Penally Manor house. The grounds are approximately 4.5 acres of predominantly woodland with spectacular sea views across the golf course to the Gower, Worms Head, Caldey Island and Tenby. The Manor is in the Penally Conservation area and central to the village.
About Picturesque Penally -
Penally is in the heart of “Little England Beyond Wales”. Adjacent to the cheerful holiday resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. A pretty village with panoramic views across the golf course and Giltar point to Carmarthen Bay. It has a 13th century church and a 6th century Celtic cross. For your convenience there is a Village stores, 2 pubs serving food, a restaurant, a fine Country House Hotel and the railway station.
Tenby town centre is 2 Kms from the Manor by road or a pleasant walk across the Golf Course and along the South Beach.

There are over 50 safe and sandy beaches to choose from in Pembrokeshire including sheltered coves huge surfing beaches and of course Tenby’s popular North and South Beaches.
Its traffic jam free. Traffic can sometimes be slow (why rush when its so nice) but its very rarely at a standstill.
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is 186 miles in length and the Manor is just 1 mile from it.
The Pembrokeshire section of the Celtic Cycle Route is 90 miles long and winds its way around most of the coast from Tenby to Fishguard. Pembrokeshire is one of Britain’s special places with almost a third being in the National Park, including just about all of the coast and Preseli Hills and part of the Daugleddau Estuary. |

Booking
(1) Provisional bookings are accepted by telephone, held for seven days pending receipt of booking form and 30% (min £70 per week) deposit.
(2)Balance
The balance is payable at least eight clear weeks before the commencement of your holiday. Should the balance not be received on time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. All cheques should be made payable to D J and PA Smith.
Cancellation
(3) If you have to cancel your holiday please let us know at once. We will endeavour to re-let and if we succeed will refund your payment less a £30 administration charge and any difference there may be in the rental. If we are unable to re-let you are liable to the full cost. We therefore strongly recommend you consider holiday cancellation insurance and can forward a proposal form if required.
Occupants
(4) The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the numbers stated and agreed on the booking form.
Liability
(5) No liability can be accepted for any loss, damage or injury to occupants or their property during the period of the booking.
Contents
(6) The hirer is responsible for the contents of the property and should leave it in the same condition as on arrival. Any breakages and damage must be reported and paid for.
Pets
(7) Strictly no pets allowed.
Arrival & Departure
(8) The accommodation will be available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. Please leave the property as would expect to find it in order that other peoples holidays are not spoilt.
Smoking
(9) Strictly no smoking within the properties
(10) No rebates will be paid for mechanical or electrical failure of any kind. However every effort shall be made to effect repair.
(11) We reserve the right to immediate cancellation of booking and/or refusal of entry to the property should our conditions not be complied with.

A. General description. The Cottage is on two levels and accessed via steps it is therefore only suitable for guests with reasonable mobility.
B. Location, Public Transport and other Services. The Manor is easy to find located approximately 200yds west of the main village road There is a bus service to Tenby, Saundersfoot, Haverfordwest, Pembroke and Carmarthen and the bus stop is a 300yd walk, down a slope.
The nearest railway station is Penally.
Within 1 mile of the manor is a Village store and Two pubs serving food, a restaurant and a country house hotel.
C. Access to the Cottages, Parking and Assistance with Luggage Access to the Cottage is along our tarmac drive with plenty parking to the side of the Cottage. Access would be possible for those with reasonable mobility but there are six steps with a hand rail from the parking area to the cottage level. It is therefore not considered suitable for wheelchairs.
Assistance with luggage is always available.
D. Access considerations within the Cottage. The bedroom is accessed up four steps with a hand rail and can therefore only be considered suitable for those with reasonable mobility.
E. Unfortunately the accommodation can not be considered as suitable for wheelchairs. F. Orange and Vodafone Networks are available, Others may be however these are the two we use. |
