The Cote d'Azur is in the south-east of France, part of this coast is oftern referred to as the French Riviera. The Mediterranean coast (Cote d'Azur / Riviera) of south-east France includes such renowned resorts as Nice, Cannes and Saint-Tropez. The Cannes region becomes very popular and crowded during the Cannes Festival when the rich and famous celebrate the movie industry, so if you want to avoid all the crowds during May, when not head out to one of the other towns like Nice or Saint-Tropez.
A trip to this area would not be complete without visiting Monoco and maybe catch the F1, which is another popular event hosted near to this area.
