Gatwick's South Terminal is to see the first hotel located inside a UK airport building, owned by Simon Woodroffe, Chairman and Founder of YO!.
The YOTEL will feature 46 Premium and Standard 'cabins' – both of which will be large enough for two people sharing, have ensuite bathrooms, in ‘cabin’ entertainment, free WiFi and wired internet access and 24hr cabin service. The YOTEL cabins have been developed to cater for passengers with early morning flights, long scheduled transfers as well as unexpected flight delays and cancellations as these cabins can be booked for just 4 hours.
The premium cabin overall size is just 10 square meters and the standard just 7 square meters but YOTEL boasts that “there is as much in these 7/10 square meters as you’d find in most 4 star hotels”.
